Job Description
About the Role We're looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Coordinator/Receptionist to join our ambulatory surgery center team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients by helping and guiding them through check-in and check-out while keeping the front office running smoothly. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, staying organized, and helping people feel at ease, this could be a great fit. What You'll Do Welcome patients and visitors with a warm, professional attitude Answer phones, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals Handle patient check-in and check-out, including collecting co-pays and balances Verify insurance and prepare daily billing packets Maintain accurate patient records and charts Prepare charts and paperwork for upcoming appointments Enter and update information in the EMR system Coordinate schedules with referring offices and anesthesia providers Keep the front desk and waiting area clean and organized Manage office supplies and place orders when needed Assist the back office team when needed (cross-training provided) Schedule Full-time position Rotating Saturdays required Must be available for both opening and closing shifts What We're Looking For 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting Familiarity with medical terminology Experience working with EMR systems Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized A positive attitude and strong communication skills Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment Prior surgery center experience is a plus, but not required Why Join Us?
