Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist and become the friendly, organized face of our animal care facility! In this vital role, you'll be the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, ensuring smooth communication and efficient appointment scheduling. Your energetic and positive attitude will help create a welcoming environment where clients feel confident and cared for. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures with enthusiasm and professionalism Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and handle cancellations or rescheduling promptly Collect payments, process medical billing, and perform accurate medical collections to ensure smooth financial transactions Maintain organized patient records, update veterinary software, and ensure confidentiality of client information Assist with kennel management by coordinating pet drop-offs, pick-ups, and ensuring proper pet care documentation Communicate effectively with veterinary staff regarding patient updates, lab results, and treatment plans Support laboratory tasks such as sample labeling or basic testing procedures when needed Handle pet care inquiries, provide pet grooming advice, and support animal husbandry activities as required Experience Previous experience in veterinary reception or customer service within animal healthcare settings is highly preferred Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal restraint techniques, and basic laboratory procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role Knowledge of pet care practices including dog training, pet grooming, and animal husbandry is advantageous Experience with medical collection processes and aseptic techniques ensures accurate handling of sensitive information and samples Kennel experience or working with animals in a shelter or boarding environment demonstrates your comfort with animal handling and dog training skills Strong communication skills combined with a proactive attitude will help you excel in managing multiple responsibilities efficiently Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
