Front Desk Associates play a critical role in creating a welcoming, compliant, and professional first impression for every customer entering our dispensaries. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy customer service, organization, communication, and working in a fast-paced retail environment. Team members in this role help support the overall customer experience while assisting with front desk operations, compliance procedures, phone support, and store organization. Benefits & Perks Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Supplemental insurance options including accident and disability coverage Paid time off (PTO) Sick Leave (HWA Compliant) 30% employee discount on products and merchandise Ongoing training and development Opportunities for career advancement and internal promotion Supportive workplace culture with professional leadership and HR infrastructure Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Front Desk Operations Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner Verify customer identification and assist with check-in procedures Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions, product inquiries, and general store information Provide accurate information regarding store products, specials, and promotions Help maintain a positive, organized, and customer-focused front desk experience Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and compliance standards Administrative & Organizational Support Maintain accurate customer and patient records in compliance with company procedures Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining required documentation Ensure waiting areas, front desk spaces, restrooms, and customer-facing areas remain clean and organized Assist with updating menus, specials, and operational materials as needed Support daily operational organization and communication between departments Compliance & Store Operations Adhere to all state and local cannabis regulations and company SOPs Assist with inventory-related operational tasks as directed Support compliance, sanitation, safety, and loss prevention standards Assist leadership with maintaining organized and compliant retail operations Handle cash and transactions responsibly when applicable Team Collaboration & Culture Work collaboratively with team members and leadership Participate in staff meetings, coaching sessions, and training programs Contribute to a respectful, positive, and professional workplace culture Support company initiatives, promotions, and operational goals Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in customer service, reception, hospitality, retail, administrative support, or cash handling preferred Cannabis industry experience is preferred, but strong candidates are encouraged to apply Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor and attention to detail Basic computer and clerical skills preferred Passion for customer service, teamwork, and professional growth Employees receive ongoing training in: Customer service & products Cannabis compliance and SOPs Communication and professionalism Leadership development Cannabis retail operations Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds Ability to perform repetitive administrative and operational tasks Growth & Development Opportunities Urban Wellness is committed to promoting from within whenever possible.
