Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist for a short-term 2-day front office operations for a Financial Services organization in Reno, Nevada. This Contract position is ideal for someone with experience managing a busy reception area, greeting visitors, and handling incoming calls with accuracy and courtesy. The right candidate will create a welcoming first impression while keeping communication and administrative tasks organized throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients, guests, and team members at the front desk and provide a positive, customer-focused experience.
- Manage a multi-line phone system by answering, screening, and directing incoming calls to the appropriate contacts.
- Maintain the reception area so it remains orderly, well-organized, and ready to receive visitors at all times.
- Handle routine front office tasks such as taking messages, relaying information, and supporting day-to-day administrative needs.
- Coordinate visitor check-in procedures and notify employees promptly when guests arrive.
- Respond to general inquiries with courtesy and escalate more complex requests when needed.
- Support office communication flow by ensuring calls and messages are routed accurately and efficiently. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or similar customer-facing administrative role.
- Previous experience operating a multi-line phone or switchboard system with multiple extensions.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a courteous, detail-oriented phone presence.
- Ability to manage inbound calls efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable greeting visitors and handling front desk responsibilities in a detail-oriented office setting.
- Dependable organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks throughout the workday.
