Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations t in Elmira, New York. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone with at least one year of experience who can manage incoming communication, maintain accurate records, and create a welcoming experience for visitors and staff. The role requires strong attention to detail, comfort with high-volume administrative work, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors, direct them appropriately, and maintain a courteous and welcoming front-desk presence.
- Manage a busy phone line by answering inbound calls promptly, screening inquiries, and routing messages to the correct departments.
- Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy, ensuring records and administrative information remain current and organized.
- Support day-to-day office coordination by handling routine clerical tasks and assisting with general administrative needs.
- Monitor incoming information and documentation, making sure items are recorded, distributed, or filed correctly.
- Communicate effectively with employees, customers, and external contacts to help keep operations running smoothly. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front-desk, or similar administrative support role.
- Ability to manage inbound calls efficiently while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
- Experience entering large volumes of data with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy work environment.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with visitors, staff, and outside contacts.
- Proficiency with standard office systems and general administrative procedures.
