Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations t in Elmira, New York. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone with at least one year of experience who can manage incoming communication, maintain accurate records, and create a welcoming experience for visitors and staff. The role requires strong attention to detail, comfort with high-volume administrative work, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
Welcome visitors, direct them appropriately, and maintain a courteous and welcoming front-desk presence.
Manage a busy phone line by answering inbound calls promptly, screening inquiries, and routing messages to the correct departments.
Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy, ensuring records and administrative information remain current and organized.
Support day-to-day office coordination by handling routine clerical tasks and assisting with general administrative needs.
Monitor incoming information and documentation, making sure items are recorded, distributed, or filed correctly.
Communicate effectively with employees, customers, and external contacts to help keep operations running smoothly. Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front-desk, or similar administrative support role.
Ability to manage inbound calls efficiently while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
Experience entering large volumes of data with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy work environment.
Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with visitors, staff, and outside contacts.
Proficiency with standard office systems and general administrative procedures.
