Position Summary:
Animal Charity of Ohio is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist. A strong candidate will have a positive attitude as the first point of contact for pet owners and their animals. The Veterinary Receptionist will facilitate smooth clinic operations by managing appointments, handling client communications, and supporting veterinary staff with essential administrative tasks. The Veterinary Assistant must have enthusiasm for animal care and excellent organizational skills to help create a welcoming environment that promotes pet health and owner satisfaction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a compassionate team dedicated to animal well-being.
Essential Job Functions:
Greet clients warmly and efficiently check in and out pet owners, ensuring a friendly and professional experience Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and manage the clinic's calendar with precision Handle medical collections accurately, including processing payments Maintain detailed records of client communication Processes Donations and Merchandise Sales through the Vetter/DaySmart Software Maintains Vetter/DaySmart transactions through all invoices, payments, estimates, sales Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, medication schedules, and upcoming appointments Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception and lobby areas Demonstrate basic veterinary knowledge to assist clients Directs guests to leave donations at specific designated points Receives packages, mail, and directs deliveries to designated staff
