Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providers, and insurance companies, ensuring smooth communication and efficient scheduling. Your energetic approach will help foster a welcoming environment while managing referral processes, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining accurate medical records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through excellent administrative support and coordination. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through the check-in process Manage incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and responding promptly to patient inquiries Coordinate referrals with specialists and other healthcare providers, ensuring timely processing and follow-up Verify insurance coverage using managed care protocols and insurance verification procedures Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies Support office operations by managing medical records requests, updating patient information, and handling administrative tasks efficiently Experience Prior experience working in a medical office environment is highly preferred Familiarity with medical terminology is required Experience with HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality is necessary Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling medical documentation and office tasks Join us in delivering exceptional healthcare support!
