Job Description

Description Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Receptionist. This position is responsible for providing receptionist/clerical services to the Medical Department. The person in this position provides phone coverage, clerical duties, and works closely with other staff, agencies, and the public. The person in this position handles confidential information and works with individuals with mental illnesses and/or substance abuse in a mental health facility.

Monday
  • Friday; 5:15am
  • 1:15pm and every 4th Saturday; 5:15am
  • 11:30am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as receptionist for the agency. Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations. Schedule appointments and maintain and update provider schedules. Performs office copying/duplicating (light), inter sorting, and other office related duties. Receives and distributes office mail, faxes and correspondence. Makes appointment reminder calls to clients. May organize correspondence and records to assist the records department. Prepares special reports, checks against a variety of records in order to obtain complete and accurate information. Will answer medical calls. Acts as back up for the main switchboard operator. Schedules meeting rooms. Maintains appearance of the office and self in manner to enhance public relations and dignity of the agency. Perform other duties as assigned.

Demonstrate teamwork. Abide by the agencies and/or professional code of ethics. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable. Ability to be pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude. Ability to handle emergency clinical situations with composure, sensitivity, and efficiency.
Requirements Position Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma required and four years of work experience OR an associate's degree and two years of related work experience Demonstrated competence and experience in typing and work process (50 wpm) Environmental Conditions Indoor office environment subject to frequent interruption Could include: Air-conditioned and/or heated office setting
