Job Description

Our AAHA accredited practice is expanding. We need a bigger team to help all of the pets in need. We are not your typical veterinary practice. We are a privately-owned, non-corporate small animal and exotic day practice. We provide high quality, affordable wellness, medical, surgical and urgent care services to the greater Salem, Oregon community. We are seeking a superstar veterinary receptionist to join our close-knit team of professionals. We are looking for a flexible, hardworking individual with exceptional customer service skills. The receptionist must be capable of working on their own with minimal supervision and exhibit a positive attitude, professionalism and exceptional time management skills. Wage range listed is for an experienced veterinary receptionist with 1-5 years experience. Bilingual in Spanish is highly desired. Must be available Saturday and Sunday. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Greeting clients and providing information about the practice's services, policies, and hours of operation. Answer telephones and respond to telephone inquiries. Handle walk-in traffic including scheduling appointments, making referrals, and processing prescription and medical record requests Process payments from clients including Care Credit and Scratch pay options. Provide client education on proper pet care. Enter data into computer system for appointment scheduling and recordkeeping. Obtain brief medical history Be familiar with basic medical terminology. Be familiar with vaccination schedules and common diseases of dogs and cats. Be knowledgeable about potential emergency situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google docs, Gmail are required.
