Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduler to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating appointments, managing patient schedules, and ensuring efficient operations within the medical office. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and proficiency in various electronic health record (EHR) systems, but MOST important requirement is being detailed oriented. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing patient service and supporting the overall administrative functions of the clinic. Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments efficiently while considering provider availability and patient needs Manage incoming calls and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy Verify insurance information and ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Review care plans and assist with documentation as needed Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and address scheduling conflicts Utilize EMR system WebPT for scheduling tasks Provide clerical support including filing, typing, scanning documents into patient charts and maintaining office organization Insurance verification Offer exceptional customer service to patients during their interactions with the clinic Rooming patients Turning patient rooms over Laundry Skills Attention to details are a must Ability to multi task Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and multi-line phone systems Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective patient interaction Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required to enhance patient communication Experience in medical office management or administrative support within a healthcare setting Knowledge of health information management practices and documentation review processes Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our healthcare services while developing your skills in a supportive environment.
