Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be a point of contact for our clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role requires a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal care, as well as excellent communication skills to assist pet owners effectively. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Process payments accurately. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up to date. Willingness to assist with animal handling and restraint during examinations. Provide information to clients regarding pet care, treatments, and services offered. Support veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and clinic. Utilize veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients and staff. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred, including familiarity with veterinary terminology. Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry, and care practices. Skills in animal handling and restraint are highly valued, but not necessary. Understanding of aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures is beneficial. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients compassionately. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
