Job Description

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Kennel Receptionist to join our team! Our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality care for our patients and an exceptional level of service for the owners who love them. We aim to provide a fun, safe, and clean space in our kennel for pets to stay while their owners are away. Our ideal candidate must have a love for animals, strong communication skills and previous experience in customer service, sales or reception.

To best serve our clients and their pets, a weekend shift commitment and select holidays are required.
Responsibilities:
Check-in and check-out pets for boarding and groomingGreet clients, enter or update client and pet information into the practice computer systemAnswer phones and schedule appointmentsRespond to customer inquiries and provide information about products and servicesMaintain a clean and healthy environmentHandle general care tasks such as walking dogs, feeding animals and cleaning cages as neededAssist in restraining and bathing animals as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, sales, or reception requiredPrevious experience in animal handling or kennel care preferredAbility to build rapport with clientsAbility to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening mannerAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to prioritize and multitaskAbility to Maintain a professional presence, including communication, appearance, and conduct
