ROLE DESCRIPTION
Matthew Kendig State Farm is a leading insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a receptionist. RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members. Manage appointment scheduling and office communications. Assist in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records. Engage in conversations with prospective and existing customers, identifying opportunities to offer insurance options. Provide excellent customer service and follow up on customers needs. Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.
Licensing Requirement:
A current Hawaii Property & Casualty insurance license is required for this position. If you're not currently licensed, we will support you with up to two (2) weeks of paid structured training, including training materials, study guidance, and exam preparation support, to help you obtain your license. Successful completion of the licensing requirement within the first two (2) weeks of employment is required for continued employment.
Work Schedule:
This position is in-office for the first six (6) months. After that period, employees may be eligible to transition to a hybrid work schedule based on performance and business needs. This role follows 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday -Thursday, and 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday. You will also have the opportunity to earn additional compensation by helping meet customer needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role. Communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational and multitasking abilities. Comfortable with engaging in sales conversations.
