Remote Veterinary Receptionist We are seeking a Remote Veterinary Receptionist to support a busy veterinary practice. This role serves as the first point of contact for pet owners, handling incoming communications, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and comfortable communicating with pet owners while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming calls during clinic business hours. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments. Gather information from pet owners to determine appointment urgency and schedule accordingly based on established clinic protocols. Relay prescription refill requests and other non-clinical inquiries to the appropriate clinic staff. Communicate appointment updates and pet status information as directed by the clinical team. Assist with front-office administrative and billing-related tasks as needed. Manage text messages, emails, and other front-desk communications. Escalate urgent concerns or situations requiring clinical attention to the appropriate team members. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and appointment information. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary, healthcare, or medical front-office role. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Experience working with practice management software and business phone systems. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dependable remote work setup. Professional, patient, and empathetic communication style. Comfortable interacting with pet owners and handling customer service inquiries. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supporting a veterinary clinic or animal healthcare practice. Familiarity with common veterinary terminology and appointment scheduling workflows. Experience managing high call volumes in a healthcare or service-oriented environment.
