Job Description

Veterinary Receptionist Come hang out with people who love pets and actually like their coworkers. At VET Care Hospital, we believe the front desk sets the tone for the entire clinic. You're the first smile clients see when they walk in with a nervous puppy, a grumpy cat, or a pet who somehow swallowed something absolutely ridiculous. We're looking for someone kind, dependable, calm under pressure, and genuinely good with people. Experience is great, but personality matters more to us. We can teach software and clinic flow — we can't teach warmth, teamwork, or how to not panic when three phones ring at once and a doodle escapes their leash. If you love animals, enjoy helping people, and want to work somewhere supportive and drama-light, you might fit right in here. Our Core Values Everything we do is guided by our core values:
  • Compassion
  • We care deeply for pets, clients, and each other.
  • Integrity
  • We do the right thing, always.
  • Teamwork
  • We succeed together.
  • Excellence
  • We are committed to continuous improvement and high standards.
  • Respect
  • We treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect.
What the job looks like:
You'll be: Greeting clients and pets (yes, including the anxious Chihuahuas) Answering phones and scheduling appointments Checking patients in and out Talking through payments and estimates with kindness and clarity Keeping records organized and accurate Helping the medical team keep the day running smoothly Educating clients about services, medications, and follow-up care Keeping the front desk from descending into beautiful chaos Some days are busy. Some days are emotional. Some days someone brings in puppies and productivity drops for five minutes. We work hard, help each other out, and try to keep things positive. We'd probably get along well if you: Like both animals and humans Stay fairly calm when things get hectic Communicate clearly and kindly Can multitask without combusting Notice when someone needs help and jump in Want to keep learning and improving Bring good energy without bringing drama Bonus points if you have: Veterinary reception experience Customer service experience Experience with Cornerstone, PetDesk, or similar software Basic veterinary terminology knowledge But none of those are dealbreakers for the right person.
What we offer:
Supportive management and a good team dynamic Opportunities to learn and grow Exposure to new and interesting medical treatments and patient care Competitive pay based on experience, attitude, and fit Employee pet discounts (obviously) Continuing education opportunities To apply: Send us your resume and answer these three questions: What made you look at animals and think, "Yep, this is my thing"? What kind of workplace makes you actually enjoy coming to work? Why do you think you'd vibe well with our team? We're big fans of kind people, curious minds, and teammates who make the day better just by being there.
Pay:
$15.00
  • $20.
00 per hour
Benefits:
Employee discount Paid time off Professional development assistance
