In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a positive and professional experience. Your proactive approach and excellent organizational skills will help maintain smooth office operations, manage communication channels effectively, and support various administrative functions. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify appointments, and direct them appropriately to ensure a friendly and efficient check-in process Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and transfer calls with professionalism and courtesy Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mail, and packages with accuracy and timeliness Assist with office management tasks such as supply inventory, photocopying, proofreading documents, and maintaining cleanliness of the reception area Provide patients with cost associated with visit, explain insurance coverage, and collect payment as necessary Provide exceptional customer support by addressing questions or concerns with patience and clarity while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Qualifications Experience in office administration or clerical roles with strong organizational skills is a plus Previous experience with Nextgen or other EMR systems Excellent computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), and data entry skills Prior experience managing multi-line phone systems and providing customer service in fast-paced environments Bilingual abilities are highly appreciated, but not required Strong attention to detail Previous experience in ophthalmology is advantageous but not required Join us to be part of a vibrant team where your organizational talents and customer service excellence make a real difference every day!
