Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front Desk Clinic Receptionist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and organized environment. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help streamline daily operations, facilitate effective communication, and uphold the highest standards of patient service. Responsibilities Ensure Schedule for providers are full to capacity. If patients no show then fill the slot same day and time Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through check-in and check-out procedures Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Eclinical works) ensuring accuracy and timely updates If HMO referrals are required obtain it in time Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes efficiently and accurately Collect copays deductibles upfront. Collect patient information, update medical records, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations Facilitate medical billing processes including coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), medical collection efforts, and payment posting Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation review of care plans and medical records Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, practicing excellent phone etiquette while managing appointment requests and patient inquiries Maintain organized filing systems for medical records using office management Microsoft teams; ensure confidentiality of health information at all times Support administrative tasks such as data entry with high typing speed (10 key typing), document preparation in Microsoft Office, and general clerical duties including filing and faxing Requirements At least 3 years proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Front Desk Clerk within a clinic experience preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks ; experience with Eaglesoft is a plus Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and perform insurance verification efficiently Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone presence and courteous communication style Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), data entry (10 key typing), and office management software Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly while maintaining a positive attitude Join our team where your expertise makes a difference!
