Job Description

Overview We are seeking a professional, friendly, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our pain management practice. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while efficiently managing patient check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, phone calls, and other front-office responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner. Check patients in and out for appointments and procedures. Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and identification. Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Answer and route incoming telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries. Communicate appointment instructions and required paperwork to patients. Obtain and update patient information and insurance documentation. Assist with referrals, authorizations, and obtaining necessary medical records when applicable. Maintain accurate and complete front-desk documentation. Coordinate with medical assistants, providers, billing staff, and other office personnel. Assist patients with questions regarding appointments, forms, payments, and office policies. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Monitor the waiting room and help maintain an organized and welcoming environment. Follow office policies and procedures related to patient flow, scheduling, and collections. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous medical office or front-desk experience preferred. Experience in a pain management, orthopedic, neurology, or specialty medical practice is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification preferred. Strong computer and electronic medical record (EMR) skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional and compassionate customer-service skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy medical office. Ability to handle confidential patient information appropriately. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. The receptionist should be dependable, professional, patient-focused, and able to remain calm and courteous in a busy environment.
Interventional Pain Management Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
