Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Clinic Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing front desk operations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help streamline appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out processes, and administrative support. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate medical records, verifying insurance information, and supporting the overall flow of clinic activities. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service at all times Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks accurately Collect and document patient information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently Maintain and organize medical records, ensuring proper filing and data entry in systems like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and updating patient care plans Coordinate appointment reminders and follow-up communications to enhance patient engagement Ensure clinic operations run smoothly by managing front desk activities including intake procedures and office management tasks Requirements Proven experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, preferably as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), billing procedures, and insurance verification processes Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and office management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Ability to handle multiple priorities with professionalism and efficiency in a fast-paced environment Exceptional communication skills with strong phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus Experience with dental terminology or hospital experience is advantageous but not required High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in health information management are preferred Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing outstanding front desk support!
