The Medical Office Receptionist provides frontdesk support to ensure smooth daily operations within a medical practice. This role requires a mature and responsible individual who can deliver excellent customer service while assisting patients, managing appointments, and supporting clinical staff. Professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability are essential. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner Answer incoming calls, route messages, and respond to general inquiries Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments Check patients in and out; verify insurance and collect copayments Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) Assist patients with forms, referrals, and authorizations Prepare and organize patient charts and required documentation Coordinate with medical staff to support patient flow Handle mail, faxes, and office correspondence Maintain a clean and organized reception and waiting area Protect patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Protect patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred Demonstrated maturity, responsibility, and professionalism Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment Proficiency with computers, scheduling systems, and office equipment Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems is a plus Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Key Competencies Customer service excellence Professional communication Reliability and responsibility Organization and time management Attention to detail Confidentiality and discretionSimilar remote jobs
