Job Description

•We highly recommend you include a cover letter sharing your experience and/or interest in the veterinary field with your resume to set you apart from other applicants. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our veterinary receptionist staff. We are a busy, privately owned, multi-doctor practice in New Braunfels, Texas specializing in small animal medicine. We see roughly 80 patients a day for everything from wellness exams, elective and advanced surgery, urgent care, senior care, hospice, and internal medicine cases so no two days are the same. The ability to work well under high pressure and multi-task is a must. A strong work ethic is the basis for a career in veterinary medicine and our receptionists must be equipped to speak respectfully to our clients, fellow employees and veterinarians they work hand in hand with. Must be able to take constructive criticism well and gracefully take direction from others. Some daily duties include but are not limited to: Greet clients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures for appointments and surgeries Triaging and collecting intake information for patient cases Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up reminders efficiently Handle medical billing and collections with accuracy and transparency Maintain detailed patient records, including medical history, treatments, and laboratory results Communicate with clients regarding pet care instructions, medication schedules, and follow-up needs Demonstrate knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures to accurately relay information between staff and clients General cleaning and maintenance of facility The veterinary field is deeply rewarding with room for further education and growth. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person. A competitive hourly wage is based on experience. If hard work doesn't scare you and laughing to get through the days with good people and entertaining, lovable pets seems like something you'd enjoy, please upload a cover letter sharing your experience and/or interest in the veterinary field with your resume to set you apart from other applicants.
