Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our compassionate veterinary team. This role is vital in providing exceptional client service and supporting the daily operations of our animal healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong animal handling skills, veterinary terminology knowledge, and excellent communication abilities to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for pet owners and their animals. Duties Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive first impression Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar efficiently Collect medical payments and process billing accurately Answer phone calls, respond to client inquiries, and provide information about services Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories Assist with animal restraint during examinations or procedures as needed Support kennel operations, including animal husbandry and pet care tasks Prepare animals for procedures, including animal catheterization or other restraint techniques Assist veterinary staff with laboratory sample collection and basic diagnostic procedures Ensure cleanliness and aseptic techniques are maintained in treatment areas Handle pet grooming, dog training, or pet grooming tasks as appropriate to support client needs Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques Experience with medical collection procedures and laboratory work in a veterinary setting Kennel experience and animal husbandry skills to care for various animals including dogs, cats, and equines Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint methods for different species and sizes Familiarity with pet care routines such as grooming, training, and pet grooming techniques Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of aseptic techniques and veterinary critical care practices is a plus Experience with dog handling, animal handling, pet care, and laboratory procedures enhances suitability for this role Join our team to contribute to high-quality veterinary care while working in a supportive environment that values compassion, professionalism, and skill development.Job Types:
