Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a friendly and professional atmosphere Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks including Medicare and HIPAA compliance Collect and process payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances accurately using medical billing software Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure HIPAA confidentiality standards are met Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication and appointment confirmations Assist with patient intake procedures, including updating personal information and medical history forms Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR systems). Skills Proven experience in medical office administration or as a medical receptionist in a chiropractic or dental clinic setting Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and documentation review processes Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and 10-key typing skills Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and handle medical billing with attention to detail Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Experience with dental terminology or hospital experience is a plus but not required Join our team where your organizational talents and enthusiasm will help us deliver outstanding care!
