Outpatient Receptionist (Full Time)

Retrieves high volume of incoming calls, screens callers, takes messages and / or direct to appropriate personnel or department. Ensure professionalism while maintaining excellent customer service. Provides routine information. Maintains privacy of protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA. Welcomes on-site patient(s) and / or visitor(s), determines the nature of their business, ensuring all policies are followed. Assist in the resolution of complaints. Independently manages requests, and inquiries from all patients, or visitors by responding rapidly and appropriately to complaints, and initiates de-escalation, remedies, and resolutions, or elevates to the appropriate person. Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, faxing, and photocopying. Maintains work area, and lobby in neat, and orderly manner. Attends required meetings, and participates in committees as requested. Maintains established hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control. Maintains proper hospital opening, and closing procedures. Implements job responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with the Code of Ethics. All other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or GED. Excellent Customer Service Skills Excellent oral, and written skills. Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment. Detail oriented. Able to work flexible hours/shifts. Minimum 2-3 years experience working in a fast-paced office or hospital preferred. Demonstrate working knowledge of the Office software (excel, Word, Windows, Internet, Outlook). Must be adept at creative problem-solving. Must be punctual. Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Professional attire. Positive attitude necessary.
