Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a medical office (preferably Ophthalmology office), a cheerful disposition, and an eagerness to help others. Our Front Desk team is responsible for the check-in process for each patient (collection of paperwork, preparing charts for technician work up, and ensuring that insurance information has been collected and verified). The team is also responsible for taking patient calls and recording messages to be handled by the doctors and technicians. We have a great team but we are looking to expand. Training will be conducted in-office including EMR training (Nextech). We value employees who demonstrate kindness and compassion and enthusiasm to be part of our team!
Duties:
  • Greeting patients and guiding through the check-in process
  • Update and maintain patient medical records (cell phone #, address, insurance
  • In-take of patient phone calls and transfer to the appropriate phone line in-office
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
  • Experience working in a medical office or ophthalmic setting (1-2 years experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (preferably Nextech)
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and fellow employees
Clinic Hours and Job Benefits:
  • Monday 8-5PM; Tuesday 8-5PM; Wednesday 8-5PM; Thursday 8-5PM; Friday 7-2PM
  • Health insurance plans available to employees after first 3 months
  • Single location office in Sugar Land (you will not be required to rotate to different locations)
  • Two weeks paid vacation for full time employees and paid
Holidays Additional Information:
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic Ophthalmology office run by two Ophthalmologists (father and daughter) and contribute to improving patients' vision health. If you have prior experience and are passionate about eye care, we encourage you to apply for this role.
