Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Full-Time Receptionist to join our dedicated team at a rural family medicine clinic. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing excellent service to our patients. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently, collaborating with team members, and maintaining a welcoming and efficient front office environment. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting our clinic's mission and ACO (Accountable Care Organization) goals.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Triage patient calls and relay messages accurately to clinical staff
  • Greet patients with a smile, check them in and out, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Collect co-pays, balances due, and provide receipts.
  • Assist in achieving ACO goals by supporting care coordination and patient outreach efforts.
  • Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
  • Open the clinic one day per week at 8:15 AM and stay until the last patient has been seen.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or customer service setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and comfortable learning new software.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
Hours:
M-F, 8:30
  • 5:00 Open clinic one day/week at 8:15 and stay until last patient leaves.
