Position Summary:
This is a great opportunity to join a respected medical practice as a Medical Receptionist. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can maintain a polished image and uphold the highest standards of communication. As a bilingual member of our front-desk team, the successful candidate must be able to multi-task while providing excellent service to both our English and Spanish-speaking patient base.
Essential Job Functions:
Bilingual Patient Support:
Act as a primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking patients, providing clear translation and assistance during the check-in/check-out process and over the phone.
Patient Coordination:
Greet all patients warmly, manage the check-in process, and ensure demographic information and insurance details are accurately captured in the system.
Communication:
Manage a multi-line phone system, making outbound calls for appointment reminders and responding to patient inquiries in both English and Spanish.
Scheduling & Billing:
Coordinate provider schedules to optimize patient flow and accurately process co-pays, deductibles, and patient payments.
Administrative Support:
Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) with a high level of detail and ensure strict adherence to HIPAA patient confidentiality regulations.
Professionalism:
Maintain a positive, professional attitude and a self-starting approach to ensure a smooth administrative workflow and a welcoming office environment.
Qualifications:
Language:
Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required.
Experience:
At least 1 year of previous customer service experience is required; prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
Skills:
Exceptional telephone etiquette and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate scheduling software and office equipment.
Interpersonal:
A "self-starter" mentality with a great attitude and the ability to work well within a collaborative team.
Hours:
Monday through Friday
