Job Description

The Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Ambassador serves as the first point of contact for patients, delivering an exceptional and welcoming experience while ensuring efficient front office operations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, punctuality, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. Ideal candidates are proactive, dependable, and demonstrate a desire to grow into leadership roles within the organization. Key Responsibilities Patient Experience & Customer Service Greet all patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a professional and positive first impression Provide outstanding customer service by addressing patient needs, concerns, and inquiries promptly and courteously Maintain a calm, solution-oriented approach when handling patient concerns or high-volume situations Uphold patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times Front Desk Operations Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation Collect copays, balances, and process payments in accordance with office policies Answer and manage high-volume phone calls with professionalism and efficiency Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments while optimizing provider schedules Attendance & Reliability Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality; consistently arrive on time and ready to work Demonstrate reliability and accountability in daily responsibilities Support team coverage as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations Attention to Detail Ensure accuracy in patient registration, insurance verification, and data entry Follow established protocols and workflows with precision Identify and proactively correct errors or discrepancies Multitasking & Workflow Management Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Prioritize responsibilities while maintaining a high level of service and accuracy Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow Work Environment Fast-paced medical office setting High patient interaction and team collaboration Performance-driven and patient-centered culture
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office, preferably dermatology. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and EMR systems Exceptional customer service and communication skills—both in person and by phone. Professional demeanor, neat appearance, and positive attitude. Proven punctuality, reliability, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts are scheduled between both our offices located in Mclean and Vienna, Virginia.
