Veterinary Receptionist

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary practice. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, handling medical records, and assisting with client inquiries. A background in veterinary care or animal handling is highly desirable. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor. Schedule and confirm appointments for veterinary services. Manage patient records and ensure accurate data entry. Process payments and handle medical collections as needed. Provide information to clients regarding pet care, services offered, and veterinary terminology. Assist veterinarians and technicians in managing patient flow during busy periods. Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries from clients efficiently. Support kennel staff with animal care as needed, including dog handling and animal restraint. Able to stand for periods of time. Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred; familiarity with veterinary terminology is essential Aseptic technique knowledge is beneficial for assisting in clinical settings. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for animal welfare and providing high-quality pet care.
