Job Description

Job Summary :
To receive both visitors and callers, determine the nature of their business and direct them to the appropriate Cardinal personnel. Operating the switchboard and maintaining telephone listing information; assisting staƯ with clerical and administrative support duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet customers, visitors and guests in a courteous and professional manner. Determine the purpose of visit and direct individual to the appropriate location. Answer, screen and direct telephone callers to the appropriate personnel. Maintain an organized and professional appearance in the reception area at all times . Provide training to employees providing front desk relieve and backup telephone coverage. Notify supervisor of issues/problems/needs that arise in the reception area . Open, sort and distribute daily mail. Matching packaging slips to invoices . Scan backup documents as needed for other departments. Prepare invoices and statements for mailing. Provide clerical and administrative support to all departments as needed, including data entry, preparation and edit of various documents. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills . Professional demeanor. Strong administrative skills. Good computer skills, including Microsoft OƯice Products. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate tasks with competing demands . Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgement. Must be able to handle a high volume of calls while maintaining a professional demeanor. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. We are a drug-free workplace. Pre-employment drug screen (including for marijuana) is required.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous switchboard and/or administrative experience preferred.
Pay:
$15.00 - $22.00 per hour
