Job Description

Are you passionate about helping others and creating a welcoming environment for patients of a Substance Use Disorder Treatment center? We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Part-Time Receptionist to join our team. This position plays a vital role as the first point of contact for patients, clients, and visitors while also providing occasional support in our child watch area when needed. Schedule:
Part-Time - 21 hours per week Tuesday thru Friday 7:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday 6:00 am to 11:00 am In support of office operations, this position performs routine clerical and administrative duties including data entry, telephone and reception support, patient registrations, scheduling, record keeping, document management, and payment processing. This role services as the first point of contact for patients, clients, and visitors and helps ensure smooth daily clinic operations. This position will also provide occasional coverage in the child watch area and should be comfortable working with children ranging from birth to 12 years old.
Duties:
Greet and assist patients, clients, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Schedule appointments, coordinate walk-ins, and maintain accurate patient records within EHR systems. Answer phones, respond to messages, process patient payments, and assist with general front office operations. Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and financial assistance eligibility while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Facilitate communication between departments, providers, patients, and outside agencies. Provide occasional child watch support for children ages birth to 12 years old in a safe and positive environment. Cross-train and assist with additional clinic duties as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. At least one (1) year of experience using an Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electonric Medical Records (EMR) system. Exceptional multitasking, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of college or equivalent in business administration or office management. Previous experience in substance use disorder treatment and/or primary care strongly preferred. Experience working with children ages birth to 12 years old preferred. Physical Requirements Work is primary performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, telephones, and computer systems. The employee must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements related to typing and data entry. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling may be required.
