Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Clinic Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing front desk operations. Your energetic approach and exceptional customer service skills will help streamline patient flow, coordinate appointments, and support the overall functioning of the clinic. Your attention to detail and familiarity with medical administrative processes will contribute to delivering outstanding patient care and maintaining accurate health information management. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service while managing check-in and check-out procedures Schedule patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Practice Fusion, CMD. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process insurance claims with accuracy Collect and review patient documentation, including intake forms, medical histories, and consent forms Collect co-pays and self-pay fees and post to accounts Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries professionally, and direct calls appropriately Maintain accurate medical records, ensure proper filing of documents, and update patient information in EHR systems Support clinic operations by coordinating with medical staff on scheduling, care plans, and follow-up appointments Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive health information responsibly Perform general clerical duties including data entry, typing reports, filing documents, and managing office supplies Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with clinic experience preferred Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Practice Fusion, CMD Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently Prior experience with insurance verification and Medicare/Medicaid billing processes preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and health information management Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude Join our team where your enthusiasm for healthcare support makes a real difference!
