The PBX Telephone Operator is responsible for answering incoming calls and must have good typing skills, a pleasant attitude and excellent phone demeanor. This individual will serve as the operator for Hyatt Regency San Francisco, Grand Hyatt San Francisco, and Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport. They must work well with handling a high volume of calls and should be comfortable and able to answer questions relating to each hotel. The hourly rate for this position is $31.33. Responsibilities Operate the PBX telephone system and handle all incoming and outgoing calls efficiently and professionally. Handles customer inquiries and complaints, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Maintains an accurate record of all incoming and outgoing calls Schedules reservations and appointments as needed Maintains accurate and updated information of Resort amenities and activities Keeps the communication equipment in good working condition Routinely conducts inspection check for quality assurance Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently Always maintains a courteous and professional demeanor Assists other departments as needed View our Virtual Reality Experience to spend a 'day in the life' of a hospitality professional at a full-service hotel. Qualifications Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong customer service skills Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual Knowledge of PBX phone systems, computer applications, and resort information Ability to speak fluent English Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy and attention to detail. Collaborate with other departments, including the front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance Provide excellent customer service to all callers and visitors, answering their inquiries, providing information and directions as needed.
