Job Description
This is a part-time, benefit eligible position located at Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista. This shift is 8 hour night shifts from Wednesday to Friday and weekends and holidays as needed. The PBX Operator answers calls and routine inquiries, routing to intended destination. Appropriately responds to and documents emergency situations, per policy and guidelines. Acts as a part of a team, including training new employees. Pages physicians, security or employees as appropriate via radio, pagers, computer, or over-head PA system. Follows all documentation procedures. Completes additional task such as sorting and mailing messages during downtime, delivering messages to physician offices and completing and distributing daily sheets.
