Job Summary:
We are seeking an outgoing, empathetic, and highly motivated Medical Telephone Operator to serve as the \"voice of our practice.\" In this role, you will handle a high volume of incoming calls, acting as the critical link between our patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, maintains a calm and friendly demeanor, and ensures that every single patient receives top-tier customer service. This position offers a dynamic environment with real room for professional growth within our expanding practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer a high volume of incoming calls promptly, professionally, and courteously. Documentation of every telephone call in patients EHR (EPIC) Assist every patient thoroughly, ensuring their inquiries are fully resolved. Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments accurately. Route medication refill requests to the clinical team. Take detailed, accurate messages and route them efficiently to doctors and medical staff via EPIC Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
Proven experience using Epic EHR (Electronic Health Records) is strictly required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Windows 11 and a typing speed of 40+ words per minute (WPM).
Communication:
Exceptional phone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
Soft Skills:
A friendly, compassionate, and empathetic personality; must be a self-starter who remains calm under pressure.
Organization:
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to handle a rapid workflow.
