Job Description:
Work Schedule:
PRN, requires open availability for all shifts as needed. Maintains and manages all incoming communications by answering calls professionally, forwarding them appropriately, and providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff. Coordinates after-hours operations by contacting key personnel as needed and maintaining accurate on-call schedules and staff contact information. Monitors, responds to, and communicates hospital emergency codes, disaster alerts, and alarm systems in accordance with established procedures. Executes overhead announcements accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of proficiency to support hospital operations and safety. Maintains detailed operational call logs and communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure timely resolution of requests and issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic understanding of numerous computer systems. Required Must be proficient in the English language. Required Ability to communicate effectively. Required Customer service skills Required Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Required Ability to work with attention to detail in reading, writing, and computer tasks Required Organizational and interpersonal skills Required Ability to answer calls promptly, courteously, and accurately Required Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions required. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays Required Ability and willingness to adapt to change Required Clear and precise speaking abilities
Required Education:
High School Grad or Equiv Required Work Experience:
1+ experience in switchboard operations.
Required Pay Range:
