Salary Range:
$15.00 per hour
Position Summary:
The Switchboard Operator/Scheduling Center Representative is responsible for answering and directing incoming calls through the main switchboard, as well as scheduling initial and return appointments for consumers seeking services at Pathways. This position also schedules all new prescriber appointments. The role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer and manage incoming calls on the switchboard, transferring callers to the appropriate department or staff member. Schedule initial and return appointments for consumers, including new prescriber appointments. Provide courteous and professional assistance to all callers, staff, and visitors. Maintain a thorough understanding of Pathways' programs, departments, and personnel to direct inquiries appropriately. Utilize computer systems efficiently, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Avatar. Demonstrate versatility in handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Exhibit excellent customer service and communication skills when interacting with consumers, staff, and community partners. Follow all Pathways policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) required. Experience with Avatar or similar electronic record systems preferred. Prior administrative or customer service experience strongly preferred.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. This is a full time position
