Summary Job Description:
The PBX/Switchboard Department serves as the central communication hub for Baptist Health Lexington, supporting patients, visitors, team members, and clinical staff across the hospital. The department is staffed 24/7, providing continuous support to clinical operations, security, and patient services. With a focus on professionalism, excellent customer service, and attention to detail, PBX/Switchboard contributes significantly to the smooth, safe, and efficient functioning of the organization.
PBX Operator PRN Job Description:
Direct incoming calls from the switchboard and patient information lines in a courteous and professional manner. Monitor alarms and emergency telephones in the switchboard and communicate necessary information quickly. Receive and process work orders in a timely and professional manner. Provide information to walk-up visitors and patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent One year customer service experience
