Job Description

GREAT Happens Here ! Come work for North Kansas City Hospital, where you can be a part of something GREAT! Responsibilities Under the direction of the Communications Department Supervisor, demonstrates operational effectiveness regarding daily processes required to support the Communications office, Mailroom, and overall hospital functions. Complete and accurate handling of all emergency situations, through monitoring hospital alarms. Answering the switchboard and paging for overhead announcements. Awareness and implementation of policy and procedure of all hospital emergency codes.
Experience:
Experience with high volume attendant console systems- Preferred Experience with high speed mail equipment- Preferred Special Skills Ability to respond quickly to urgent needs while monitoring multiple programs. Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Available to work within 24/7 hospital setting.
Other:
May be cross-trained to work both mailroom(which requires extensive walking and excellent memorization skills) and Communications responsibilities (which requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time responding quickly to urgent needs while monitoring multiple programs).
EDUCATION
High School or Equivalent- Preferred
