Responsibilities Respond promptly and professionally to incoming phone calls from patients, families, and healthcare providers, assessing their needs with clarity and empathy. Conduct thorough triage assessments by collecting relevant health information, including symptoms, medical history, and current medications. Provide guidance on appropriate levels of care, including scheduling appointments, advising on self-care measures, or directing callers to emergency services when necessary. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards while managing sensitive patient information. Qualifications Excellent communication skills combined with critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure. Proven experience working in medical office settings or hospital environments Strong knowledge of medical terminology Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, specimen collection, and basic life support procedures.
