Job Description

Part time position. May include night and after-hours shifts. The Switchboard Scheduler is a key point of connection for St. Peter's Health. In this role, you'll help ensure patients, visitors, providers, and staff are quickly connected to the information and resources they need. You'll answer and route incoming calls across the organization, provide overhead paging and messaging, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for callers and team members. This position also responds appropriately to alarms and supports after-hours answering services as needed. We're looking for someone who is professional, dependable, calm under pressure, and committed to providing excellent customer service. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential to success in this role.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Must have exceptional customer service skills and possess knowledge of switchboard operations. Significant computer experience is desirable. Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively and efficiently in a courteous and considerate manner to maintain contact with hospital and clinic personnel. Impeccable personal honesty, integrity and confidentiality are essential.
EDUCATION
High school education or GED preferred.
