Job Title:
Switchboard Assembler Job Description We are seeking a skilled Switchboard Assembler to join our team. This position operates from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Our aim is to convert candidates to long-term roles, rather than short-term contracts. Responsibilities Assemble steel enclosures using hand tools such as open wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, hammers, and torque wrenches. Utilize air-driven tools like screwdrivers, sockets, and nailers, as well as power tools such as drills, shears, and band saws. Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly of products. Use and read a measuring tape accurately during the assembly process. Consistently lift 35 lbs during assembly tasks. Essential Skills Proficiency in mechanical assembly and production using various hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings accurately. Fluent communication in English. Experience with general labor tasks and using a tape measure effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to adapt to additional training days if needed, as discussed during the interview process. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is dynamic and hands-on, involving the use of various hand and power tools to assemble products. The standard shift is from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with orientation for new hires starting every Monday. The role requires physical activity, including lifting up to 35 lbs, in a supportive and safety-conscious setting Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wendell, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
