We are looking for a Clinic PBX Operator to join our Team that is committed to clinical excellence and building a patient-centered culture. Three Crosses Regional Hospital is an advanced independent healthcare organization led by a local team of professionals dedicated to high quality patient care and being the first choice of patients and providers in the communities we serve. The Clinic PBX Operator is responsible for answering and directing incoming and outgoing calls for the clinics, ensuring prompt, courteous, and professional communication at all times. This role operates and maintains the clinic paging system, assists with directory updates, and provides general administrative support as needed. The PBX Operator plays a vital role in maintaining efficient communication between patients, staff, and external partners—especially during outages, emergencies, or disasters that may impact phone systems The incumbent will carry out duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, act in the best interest of Three Crosses Regional Hospital, and fully support the mission, vision, and values of Three Crosses Regional Hospital. Key Responsibilities Answer and route calls promptly and professionally, identifying self, department, and facility as appropriate. Provide accurate information and transfer calls to the correct department or individual. Follow established protocols when contacting emergency services (police, ambulance, fire). Maintain updated directory information and assist in communication during outages or emergencies. Support administrative duties such as copying, faxing, and scanning documents into patient records. Collaborate with front desk and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication. Demonstrate accountability, adaptability, and professionalism in all interactions. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred:
One (1) year of customer service experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
