Job Description
Job Description The PBX Operator is responsible for efficiently managing our hotel's phone system, ensuring seamless communication between guests, staff, and external contacts. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Answering and Directing Calls:
Promptly answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner. Accurately direct calls to appropriate departments or individuals. Transfer calls efficiently to minimize wait times. Take accurate messages and deliver them promptly.Guest Assistance:
Provide information to guests regarding hotel services, amenities, and local attractions. Assist guests with placing outgoing calls, including international calls. Resolve guest inquiries and complaints in a timely and effective manner.Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate call logs and records. Monitor and troubleshoot phone system issues. Assist with other administrative duties as needed, such as filing, copying, and scanning.Emergency Procedures:
Follow emergency procedures and protocols, including contacting appropriate personnel during emergencies. Coordinate with security and other departments to ensure timely response to emergencies.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a PBX operator or in a similar role preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency in using computer systems and phone systems. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.Source:
