Job Description

Full-time| M-F, 8am-4:30pm| $15-$18 per hour based on experience| Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position. Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Switchboard Operator streamlines communications and provides exceptional customer service to all patients, employees, and customers of Choctaw Nation Health Care. You will report to the Manager.
Primary Tasks:
Answer and screen all calls promptly and professionally; transfer to proper department, take detailed messages and distribute using several electronic systems. Review RPMS for existing patient charts and ensure patient information is correct; establish temporary charts for new patients. Access patient charts in the EHR to answer questions and assist with medication refills, lab orders, consults, messages, and other accessible information. Complete pre-registration, reminder calls, and rescheduling appointments for assigned providers. Monitor requests on the MyCNHSA app and schedules appointments or forward requests for further information. Assist patients and guests with questions pertaining to, hours of operation, directions to the clinic, walk-in hours, and services offered. Announce emergency codes on overhead page system. Ensure patient's right to privacy and confidentiality are maintained in accordance with Choctaw Nation Health Services Privacy and Security Code regulations. Other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
Computer knowledge with typing accuracy at 35wpm Knowledge of HIPAA
