Job Description

Summit Medical Group at Deane Hill , is seeking a Phone Operator to answer incoming calls in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. This is a Full time opportunity, working 8:00 a.m. - 5:00p.m .
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
: (List does not include all duties assigned) Directs all calls to appropriate areas/extensions. Records messages with accuracy and conciseness while prompting patients and other callers for pertinent information. Scheduling of patient appointments using established procedures. Communicates general clinic information, when appropriate. Responds to emergency calls according to established procedure and sound judgment. Uses paging system according to procedure. Responsible for communicating telephone system inefficiencies or repair needs. Updates telephone directory and maintains accurate listing of all extensions. Assists with other general office functions, such as mail processing, as requested. Attends meetings as required. Maintains strictest confidentiality both internally and externally. Performs related work as assigned.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) years' experience answering phones and scheduling appointments in a medical office/clinic setting required. Working knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills, MS Office, Outlook, and EHR required. Ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, staff and the public.
Education:
