  • Position Available:
    Title Officer
  • We are looking for a Title Officer who will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating public real estate records related to property titles in specified states and counties.
The Title Officer will review compiled information and create various title products based on company and underwriting guidelines. Additionally, this role involves assisting in the review, revision, and implementation of overall production and process strategies, as well as personnel activities within the Title Unit, including Title Production, Resolution, and Review.
  • Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Title Officer or Relief Title Officer
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Job Duties:
  • Review, analyze, and verify the Property Index and General Name Index for their impact on title
  • Perform Patriot Act, PACER, and Child Support Searches as needed
  • Review search results to ensure compliance with all requirements
  • Calculate property prices, commitments, endorsements, policies, and guarantees, using the appropriate schedule of fees and charges based on property location
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and management controls to maximize operational efficiencies while maintaining sound internal controls
  • Monitor staff adherence within the Title Production, Resolution, and Review groups to establish policies and procedures, including deadlines and allowable exceptions
  • Act as a liaison between various internal departments and external third parties, providing information, decisions, and guidance as needed
  • Analyze changes in business mix and their impact on Title production and Title review operating procedures and staffing
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
This position also offers the opportunity to earn a commission.
