Job Description
Receives specific assignments from the Station Manager and/or Operation Manager relative to the registration position and occasional lane inspection positions. Performs assigned tasks, obtaining assistance as required for unusual or difficult problems encountered. Work is reviewed in terms of ability to complete registration duties as required, meet or exceed sales targets, cash collection accuracy, inventory control, and effectively deal with the public. Serves as a registration clerk performing registration functions at the testing facility. Generates sales of and performs vehicle registration renewals and other bmv transactions. Responsible for collecting renewal fees and accounting for the proper dollar amount collected in cash, checks and credit/debit payments. Responsible for inventory, cash and check reconciliation, book-keeping, data entry and ten-key computer operation. Maintains professional rapport with the public. Frequent customer interaction and occasional phone answering. Must be aware of and take security measures. Must be willing to perform vehicle emission testing occasionally and other miscellaneous tasks as required by the Station Management team. Performs other duties as assigned. Not Benefits Eligible. Requirements:
Knowledge of ESP policies and procedures relating to the process of vehicle registration, as well as knowledge of regulations and procedures set forth by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Knowledge of computerized vehicle registration system. Knowledge of cash-handling policies and procedures. Proficiency in computer and ten-key operation. Excellent customer service and sales skills. Valid Driver's license with a good driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous cashier experience highly recommended. Successful completion of criminal and civil background checks. Long periods of standing required. Ability to work in outdoor conditions.
