Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Title Abstractor and Title Search Clerk to join our dynamic title insurance agency. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough title searches, plating legal descriptions, preparing documents for closing, working day to day with the Closing Agent on files, audit and accounting work on closing files, and to help our office ensure smooth title processing for real estate transactions. Your expertise will help facilitate seamless property transfers by providing precise legal and historical property information. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, office environment where accuracy and efficiency are paramount. Duties Perform comprehensive research of public records, deeds, liens, and other relevant documents to verify property ownership and history Conduct detailed title searches using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools and other digital resources to locate pertinent property information Prepare clear, accurate, and complete title abstracts that summarize the legal status of properties for review by attorneys and clients Assist in resolving title discrepancies or issues by coordinating with relevant agencies or stakeholders Maintain organized records of all research activities, reports, and correspondence related to each case Support the title processing workflow by reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with legal standards Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and internal teams Requirements Research skills with experience in public record databases and GIS technology is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure error-free work Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally Prior experience as a Title Abstractor or Title Search Clerk is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Join our team if you're passionate about ensuring accuracy in property transactions!
