Job Description

Residential Title Coordinator Position Summary The Residential Title Coordinator will be responsible for managing residential title files from contract through closing, ensuring all title requirements are satisfied and transactions proceed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities Open and process residential title orders for New York and New Jersey transactions. Review contracts, title reports, surveys, and supporting documentation. Order and coordinate title searches, municipal searches, and payoff statements. Clear title issues, defects, liens, judgments, and other title-related matters. Communicate with attorneys, lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, and other parties involved in the transaction. Prepare title commitments, title policies, and closing documents. Monitor file status and ensure all deadlines are met. Maintain accurate records and update internal systems throughout the transaction process. Assist with post-closing matters as needed. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of residential title experience required. Experience handling New York and/or New Jersey residential transactions. Strong understanding of title insurance, title commitments, and closing procedures. Ability to review and resolve title issues independently. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with title software and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple files and priorities simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a title agency, real estate law firm, or settlement services company. Familiarity with Qualia or other title production software. Knowledge of both New York and New Jersey title practices.
